Support Freedom
We have a volunteer military. These men and women have chosen to lay their lives on the line for us. They deserve our appreciation - regardless of how we feel about the wars we are engaged in.
From Mrs. Fierce Shoes' post: "Please stop by this blog http://taskforcephoenix5.blogspot.com/ and offer him some support. He's just back from Afghanistan and needs some words of encouragement."
My girls have friends who have joined the Army, the Air Force, the Navy and the Rangers. We know these young men - some since they were kids. They are quality Christian men, intelligent men. They could have opted for higher education and careers in business right out of High School - but they are fighting for freedom first. My husband and I appreciate their sense of duty and sacrifice. We are humbled by their service.
To them and to all who have ever served. Thank you!

I noticed that you'd stopped by and left a comment for Todd. Thank you! I'm certain he appreciated it. He sent me a very nice email thanking me for my comment.
So glad you left a message. The media has made war so controversial in recent years, many people are afraid to have an opinion.
Our nation isn't perfect, but my ancestors fought for my freedom - My dad went into WWII as a conscientious objector. He didn't want to kill anyone, but he served as a medic. He was nearly killed when a kamakaze plane hit their hospital ship and took out 2 operating rooms during operations. He had just left one of those rooms to additional supplies. He was blown accross that room by the concussion and suffered injuries. He spent time in the hospital in Manilla, and went back aboard ship on crutches.
He still has shrapnel in his body from those injuries. He wasn't pro-war, but he served this country anyway. Better to fight them on their ground than to allow them to bring the fight here.
So much for my rant! I am proud of our servicemen and women.
