Pinehurst: Eighth Grade

Is is true blondes have more fun?

Blonde was in. Summer Blonde. Born Blonde. Clairol Blonde.

Remember the commercial?

"Is is true blondes have more fun?
Why not be a blonde and see?"
[music]
"A lady Clariol Blonde, that silky, shiny blonde
a lady Clairol blonde.
Is it true Blondes have more fun?" [fade]

Blonde was back. . .Marilyn Blonde. Jane Mansfield Blonde. And now it was my turn. . .
I went blonde.

At that point in my life I was still "naturally" blonde, but later needed some help. What I remember vividly was when blonde jokes came out. Years ago my students learned that "blonde jokes" were not funny, but put down those of us that were born blonde or creatively became blonde. We have a free weekly paper that runs those jokes , but refers to the women in the jokes as "Women from Seattle". lol

I remember your natural blonde - it was such a pretty color of blonde, too. I also had been born blonde, but my hair darkened when I was about five.

I think that's about the time I became a blond, too. LOL
Now it's blond highlights - covers the gray, you know. :-)

Ditto. It used to be that if your slip was showing - someone would say, "It's snowin' down south." Any day I'm expecting a comment - "It's snowin' up north."

Blondes do have more fun. . .than greys. . .

If you don't have a great stylist, check out my niece at Northern Highlights (no grey puns intended) North of Cd'A. She's great with color. Her name is Courtney.
